Summer Lake house designed for entertaining with Art Deco flair
Komorous-Towey Architects was approached by a residential client to design a summer house on a lake. The client is an avid collector of Art Deco style furniture and art and requested a house designed in the same style. KTA has extensive experience designing Art Deco style buildings and skillfully generated plans and renderings for a large summer house.
The lake house is designed for entertaining large family gatherings with a billiards room, children’s play room, extra guest suites and three levels of decks. The house faces the lake for the best views and is hidden from the road by dense trees. The main entry features a port cochere and the garage includes a caretaker’s suite on the second level. The double high living room contains a wrap around gallery on the second floor with book and display cases at the perimeter. The house also contains a secluded study and master suite, which provide a private retreat from the active family rooms.
