United Cerebral Palsy of the Golden Gate (UCPGG)

Derelict building renovated into new company headquarters

The Renovation and Rehabilitation of UCPGG’s Headquarters in downtown Oakland

Komorous-Towey Architects (KTA) completed the renovation and rehabilitation of a derelict two story building in downtown Oakland for the headquarters for UCPGG.

The existing Mezzanine flooring was salvaged and repurposed as wood panels to screen the breakroom and reception. A large display wall was created along the double height open work space. Previously walled in windows were restored and a glass wall was used to enclose the large board room. To accommodate UCPGG’s unique clientele, a new restroom was constructed that exceeded ADA requirements.
